Table d'Hôte |
|
We do have a choice of restaurants here in Valence and a big choice of eating places in the vicinity. However we have found that on Monday nights in the winter and Fridays in the summer many of the restaurants take a night off. For our guests' convenience therefore we are able to offer a 4-course dinner including aperitif, wine, coffee and Armagnac at the price of €30 per head on these evenings. Dinner must be booked in advance and at the latest by breakfast on the morning concerned.

Our garden is across the small lane at the back of the house. It has a summer kitchen and terrace and it is here where we take breakfast on most days in the summer months. A working well provides water for the garden and is a focal point for flower-filled pots and containers. From the spring the garden is very pretty with flowers-irises, lilacs and roses in May, followed through the summer months by oriental lilies, agapanthus, arum and canna lilies, lavenders, gladioli and annual bedding plants grown from seed. Shrubs and fruit trees provide dappled shade.
Our guests are welcome to use the garden to enjoy the sun or sit and read in the shade of the terrace.
